I heard this song for the first time today and it says so much of what I feel. How can it be that God Loves me and I can love Him. How can I actually have a relationship with Him? God made the universe and me/us. Nature or creation automatically praises/glorifies Him. But because of the "curse" or consequences of sin I/we cannot. I was created with a choice or will. I was born into sin therefore I am separated from God! We all are! Why else does a baby or child automatically need to be corrected or taught right from wrong? He made me and Loves me...I can't even love God back without Him. 1 John 4:8 "God is Love." v 10 "This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son...." v 19 "We love because He first loved us." Neither am I able to glorify Him on my own. Glorify means - God's visible presence among us...God's Holiness made public...It's how He makes Himself recognizable. How can I bring Glory back to Him? By accepting that God is my Maker, my Owner and He became human to represent me on the cross. He came to replace rules that I could never keep, with a forever relationship with Himself. I need Him! Without Him I have no hope! When I accept and believe this...get this...He gives me His Spirit to live within me. He can then use me to glorify Himself or in other words, give honor or praise to Him. How can it be that He lives in me through His Spirit? That sounds totally unbelievable...like a fairy tale! Truth is God's Spirit can live in me! 1 Corinthians 6:19 "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own." Colossians 3:3 "For you died (to self), and your life is now hidden with Christ in God...." We have to believe it before we can actually understand it...only God can truly give us that understanding. 1 Corinthians 2:6 to 16....No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him, but God has revealed it to us by His Spirit"..."we have the mind of Christ!" Wow!! (I encourage you to read all of those verses for yourself.)
I do hear the universe singing God's Glory. Am I? Are you?

Please listen to this song:
The Maker
I see You in the sunrise
I see You in the rain
I see You in the laughter
I feel You through the pain
Everything that You have made is beautiful
Oh, my God, I can't believe my eyes
But in all of this to think that You would think of me
Makes my heart come alive
CHORUS
Your love is like a mighty fire deep inside my bones
I feel like I could climb a thousand mountains all at once
And I never have to wonder if somebody cares for me
I love the Maker
And the Maker loves me
I see You, You are creation
I see the grandness of Your majesty
The universe is singing all Your glory
I can't believe You live inside of me
Everything that You have made is beautiful
Oh, my God, I can't believe my eyes
But in all of this to think that You would think of me
Makes my heart come alive
CHORUS
More than just some words upon a page
You've shown me in a million ways
But there is one that stands above them all
Hands of creation on a cross
I see You in the rain
I see You in the laughter
I feel You through the pain
Everything that You have made is beautiful
Oh, my God, I can't believe my eyes
But in all of this to think that You would think of me
Makes my heart come alive
