Hearing God

"The goal of my spiritual life is such close identification with Jesus Christ that I will always hear God and know that God always hears me (see John 11:41).  If I am united with Jesus Christ,  I hear God all the time through the devotion of hearing.  A Flower, a tree, or a servant of God may convey God's message to me.  What hinders me from hearing is my attention to other things.  It is not that I don't want to hear God, but I am not devoted in the right areas of my life.  I am devoted to things and even to service and my own convictions.  God may say whatever He wants, but I just don't hear Him.  The attitude of a child of God should always be, "Speak, for Your servant hears."  If I have not developed and nurtured this devotion of hearing, I can only hear God's voice at certain times.  At other times I become deaf to Him because my attention is to other things - things which I think I must do.  This is not living the life of a child of God.  Have you heard God's voice today?"

His Presence

These pictures are from all over...as far as Turkey!! Yes, I stepped out of my comfort zone to see another part of the world and spend time with one of my awesome daughters.  As you can see from these pictures God is present everywhere...not just up here in "God's country"! ;)

Recently a wonderful high school friend lost her battle to cancer, and many other people I know are struggling with illness and loss.  I am so thankful God is still here and we can find hope and joy in Him!

Psalm 16:7 - 11  I will praise the LORD, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me.  I have set the LORD always before me.  Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.  You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with fullness of joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Thank you for Your Presence Lord!!

       Psalm 148
1Praise the Lord.a
Praise the Lord from the heavens;
praise him in the heights above.
2Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his heavenly hosts.
3Praise him, sun and moon;
praise him, all you shining stars.
4Praise him, you highest heavens
and you waters above the skies.
5Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for at his command they were created,
6and he established them for ever and ever—
he issued a decree that will never pass away.
7Praise the Lord from the earth,
you great sea creatures and all ocean depths,
8lightning and hail, snow and clouds,
stormy winds that do his bidding,
9you mountains and all hills,
fruit trees and all cedars,
10wild animals and all cattle,
small creatures and flying birds,
11kings of the earth and all nations,
you princes and all rulers on earth,
12young men and women,
old men and children.
13Let them praise the name of the Lord,
for his name alone is exalted;
his splendor is above the earth and the heavens.
14And he has raised up for his people a horn,b
the praise of all his faithful servants,
of Israel, the people close to his heart.
Praise the Lord.
